Study to a Dutch Chapter of the Ethiopian Jobs Compact

On behalf of the Netherlands Embassy, Resilience conducted a study to the opportunities of employment with Dutch investments in Ethiopia for refugees from neighboring countries (South-Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia). This was done in the context of a Jobs Compact developed for Ethiopia in which thousands of refugees are going to be employed and the Netherlands was asked how it could add employment opportunities through a so-called “Dutch Chapter”. For the study Resilience interviewed all potential stakeholders involved, including Dutch investors, refugees, relevant government bodies, civil society etc. next to desk study and other research methods.
